Rab Island

Rab is an island of Kvarner, the tenth largest in Croatia and the smallest of the Kvarner islands.

The climate is Mediterranean and the territory is very varied. The eastern part, which faces the mainland, is rocky and inhospitable and is characterized by a stone ridge. The western side, on the other hand, changes completely and is characterized by a luxuriant and rich vegetation, an indented coast and beautiful bays. You can find both rocky and sandy beaches.

It is a tourist island where you can find equipped beaches and entertainment, but at the same time escape from tourism and find out peaceful corners. Indeed, Rab preserves its natural and wild side, giving it the title of one of the greenest islands in Croatia.

The capital of the island is the town of the same name Rab, whose medieval historic center is one of the attractions to visit. A second city in importance for tourism is Lopar, where ferries from Krk island also arrive. Mišnjak is the port where ferries arrive from Stinica, on the mainland.

WHAT TO VISIT

You certainly come to Rab for its sea and beaches. You will find them of different types, sandy and rocky beaches, equipped or free, FKK (nudist), dedicated to your pets.

In Rab you can also play sports surrounded by nature, thanks to the cycling and trekking routes in the area that cross the nature reserve, or along the beaches or take you to the highest point of the island, Kameniac. You will also find licensed diving centers and climbing walls.
