FIRST TIME VISITING RAB? THE BEACHES WE RECOMMEND YOU!
In Rab there are so many beaches you can choose and some weeks are not enough to explore them all! In this article we suggest our favorites!
SUHA PUNTA
Suha Punta sea
Suha punta is definitely the one we love more at all. In a few minutes by car from Casa Leda, you have equipped or free spaces available and the strong point of the bay, as well as a beautiful sea, is the pine forest that offers shelter from the sun. Sheltered by trees there is also a coffe house. The pedestrian walk connects Suha Punta to other beautiful bays: we recommend you to visit the nearby Gožinka beach (where there is a beautiful hotel recently renovated with an excellent restaurant where you can stop for lunch) or Kandarola beach (attention FKK area therefore reserved for nudists); beyond Kandarola it becomes a beach accessible to everyone with several rocks and flat areas in between where to postion our towel, deckchair and umbrella.
PUDARICA
Plaza Valentina in Barbat
In Barbat you will find one of the beaches with the most crystalline water in Rab. Here you will find a white backdrop, the blue Caribbean sea and an orange backdrop behind you; as a panorama you will find the barren island of Dolin in front of you. In short, a whirlwind of colors! Pudarica is the equipped beach, but along the road there are other paths that lead to other free bays. We discovered Plaza Valentina, which in addition to boasting a beautiful name, is truly a heavenly place!
Be careful to be equipped with a tent: for example, shade is scarce in Plaza Valentina!
Strong points: exceptional sea, easy access, also ideal for children.

LOPAR
The beaches of Lopar are ideal for those who love sand. Wide inlets and shallow waters characterize the Lopar promontory where you can find several beaches, equipped, free and for nudists. San Marino Beach and Paradise Beach are the most famous equipped beaches, ideal for families. The free beaches, on the other hand, require some walks to reach them, so we advise you to have a map of the various paths (which you can find in the Tourist Offices) and a tent because the vegetation is scarce.

Particular is the conformity of the terrain in some free bays where water erosion has created nice shapes such as in Cikanga.
